The Epidemiological Surveillance Technical Report by the Health Secretariat corresponding to weeks 42 to 47 indicates that, since the first case was reported and until Nov.27, 5,417 people that meet the operational definition of probable case were detected.
The report adds that 3,292 of them were positive; 338 are being studied; 1,787 of them were ruled out through a lab test; and there were four deaths.
The Diagnose and Epidemiological Reference Institute notified that positive cases have been reported in the 32 federative entities. Mexico City has the most complicated scenario with 1,885 cases.
It is followed by Jalisco, 368; Mexico State, 334; Yucatan, 119; Quintana Roo, 124; Tabasco, 46; Puebla, 56; Nuevo Leon, 39; Chiapas, 35; Baja California, 26, and Veracruz, 34. The remaining states have reported between 2 and 15 cases.
Regarding gender, most cases are men (97.4 percent). Regarding age, most cases are between 30 to 34 years old, with an incidence rate of 8.5 per 100,000 inhabitants, that is, 874 of the 3,292 confirmed cases.
The most common symptoms reported are exanthema in all cases, which is a reddish skin rash, fever, headaches and muscle and joint pain.
